If you ever had a novel released, you know that in many ways, it's a feeling that never gets old! Well, Solarflame is my fifth novel to break out of digital prison and avoid the abysmal round file to see the light of day. As always, I feel quite pleased, energized, and ready to tackle the next project!

Our final destination on the great European adventure was France, with happy reunions.

Honestly, I don't even know why I'm dreaming up reading goals for 2026. I read maaaaany books in 2025, but I didn't get to many of the ones I planned to read. There are so many great books and so little time to read them all!

With 2025 in the rearview mirror, now seems like a nice time to reflect on what an awesome year for writing it was!

A new year means new writing goals! I'm not a big one for New Year's resolutions, but jotting down writing goals helps make them achievable. If you haven't tried this before, you might want to give it a spin if you have difficulty fulfilling your writerly goals—you never know what might push you over the finish line to put the end on a short story or novel, etc.

Firenze is a spectacular city. The old town, at least, feels like it has almost been trapped in time, much like Prague, if you're familiar with that incredible metropolis. For Anders and me, everything was better in Firenze, from the photo ops to the food.
