Vol. 4 Update

Vol. 4 is Subbed

Phew! Give me a second to wipe the sweat from my brow. Big news…I subbed the fourth and final volume of The Allison Lee Chronicles. It's officially off to the publisher, and now it's a waiting game to see if the writing is up to snuff. If the authorial gods smile upon me, Volume 4 will enter the wild six to eight months from now, and I'll have my first completed series. DREAM COME TRUE.

The Final Push

The rough draft of Volume 4 was a bloated 158,000 words. In my final editorial push, I chopped it down to 95,000 words. The story is much better for it, and the manuscript had to be under 100K because that's my publisher's hard limit on word count. 

How did I cut 63,000 words from the draft? Persistence, more than anything else, and ample application of the delete button.

Tentative Title

Since I've mentioned it elsewhere while promoting Phantom Algebra, I'll drop the proposed title here…The Bane of Dragons. I think it has a nice ring to it and is a very fitting name for Allison's final adventure.
