Wild times!
The last few months have been wild with a number of changes for the fam. The biggest change is we moved to a domicile closer to my wife's work. On top of that, we have a newly minted teenager in the house fully embracing his hormones and angst. He's also establishing himself as one of the best players on his new fancy dandy soccer team and begun his refereeing career. And I thought youth soccer was practically all-consuming before he started playing at the premier level…little did I know.
The younger son is doubling down on improving his reading and writing while dreaming of becoming a professional footballer before retiring to build battlebots for the military. His resiliency and determination are inspiring.
Volume 4
House stuff had eaten into my writing time, but I'm almost past all that now. And I've managed to keep the rough draft of Volume 4 of The Allison Lee Chronicles rolling. In fact, I'm starting to feel like I'm really in the homestretch, like somewhere within the last 10%, give or take 5%. It's a good feeling!
The Blood of Faeries wins agains!
The Blood of Faeries follows in the footsteps of Dragons Walk Among Us by bringing home a prize in the National Excellence in Storytelling Contest. The story garnered third place. Dragons Walk Among Us placed first in this competition a couple of years ago.
