The Arduous Edit continues to not be quite as arduous as I expect.
Here are the vital statistics:
I’ve completed the first editorial pass.
I’ve cranked 20 of 45 chapters through stages II, III, & IV, which puts me at 44.4% complete for those stages.
I’ve rammed 5 of 45 chapters through the stage V, which is at 11.1% complete.
The average chapter length remains relatively unchanged at 2550 words per chapter.
Right now, I think there will be two more stages to the Arduous Edit. Stage VI will be committing the handwritten edits from stage V to the manuscript. Stage VII will be the final read through. After that, its beta readers and the gauntlet called querying!
