I've had a great start to June. Just learned I’ve had a story accepted over at Fiction on the Web. I’m pretty pumped about this story, called The Wall. It takes place in the same world as The Future of Our Prosperity, a fairly well-received story I had published last year. This is another longish short story, clocking in at about 8,600 words.
As is often the case, the road to publication was a long one since they story was shortlisted at one zine for many months before being rejected. Ultimately though, this is okay because I applied some of the editing tips I picked up in Self-Editing for Fiction Writers to make this a much better work.
Anyway, the story will be out on July 5, 2019. I’ll be posting about it again then. Until next time, good luck with your writing endeavors.
