Howdy,
All the wild news from the impeachment hearings to the latest school shooting has reminded me of a sci-fi short story called War Machine that I wrote, oh, a year and a half ago or so. The story follows two characters, Gavin Clement, an arms dealer who sees opportunity in school defense, and Natasha, a hacker with a conscience working for Russian intelligence.
Anyway, Gavin’s attempt to make a buck securing schools has tragic consequences, and Natasha steals an election for her bosses. You can read the story here.
