I’ve had one hell of a great writing weekend. The Willamette Writers Conference over the weekend was perhaps the best one I’ve been to. The seminars I attended were all useful, and I feel like I had pretty good luck pitching. More on the writer’s conference in future posts.
Anyway, after a particularly successful pitch I thought to myself that the only thing that could make this a better writing weekend was having one of my short stories out for consideration get accepted (okay, okay, having some publisher offer me a huge advance for a novel would be even better). Well, later that day, much to my surprise and pleasure I discovered I did get a story accepted. My story Second Date was selected for a horror anthology entitled Isolation being published by Fantasia Divinity Magazine. I think the collection is coming out in October around Halloween.
