Howdy,
Well, I knocked out a story for the March flash contest over at Aphelion. The theme is the watch–as in the city watch found in numerous fantasy stories. It's not my best work, but it was certainly fun to write.
Speaking of flash stories, I am in knocking out some (or at least trying to) as exercises to improve my writing. I don't know if the resulting stories are great, but it's excellent practice all the same. So far, I have one completed flash story and a second story that's going to be a little bit longer, maybe 1,800 words. I have a sneaking feeling the longer story might turn out quite good. Fingers and toes crossed!
